Wobbly Milk tooth going grey - why advice?!

Question: Son nearly 7 has very wobbly milk tooth but this week it is going grey and discoloured when it was white.

Just under a year ago he had fall on mouth/lips which were badly damaged but dentist said teeth were ok. No discolouration then but suddenly in last week or so.

It probably did have a fracture high above the gum line where the dentist would have a hard time finding it. Don't pull it out because if this is the case you could separate the tooth from the root and your son could get an infection. Just let the adult tooth push the milk tooth out on it's own.

The discolouration is from the death of the tooth's root. It's no longer receiving any oxygen from the blood vessels that penetrate it. It just means it actually was damaged but now it's ready to fall out. Truly, don't pull it, it will pop out as the new tooth comes in and then there's no danger of breaking it and having the root stuck in the gum. That could cause an abscess.

The tooth is dead pull it out.

I've got two daughters of 7 and 6 and their teeth always go discoloured before they fall out. It used to really bother me because they look after their teeth really well, don't drink fizzy drinks etc. but I think it's quite normal because the adult ones grow back lovely

PULL IT OUT! The tooth is dead! You need to remove it from his mouth! You don't want it getting infected!

don't pull it out! pulling out children's teeth before they are ready can cause the new ones to be crooked.

the grey color if the tooth is because the nerves are dead. the same thing happened to me. when i was 2 or 3 i fell down the stairs in my babysitters apartment and landed on my mouth, and my tooth was grey from then until it fell out. the new one grew in fine.

teeth go grey when the nerve is dead, no drama's- it will fall out soon

Get it out. It is past its use by date.

That milk tooth is roting away and a new one will probably replace it.
