Ok so i got braces on today. And the orhto said they were the ''new'' kind that dosent use rubberbands. (I was pidded cuze i wanted color)
anyone know anything about them?
or anyone have a site?

The brackets you refer to are called self-ligating brackets and have become popular with orthodontists because of the speed at which patients can be seen. Instead of a colored band holding the wire in place, these brackets have doors that open and close. Many children object to the plain look of the braces and want COLORS. That's the fun part of braces. The brackets themselves do not do a better job of straightening your teeth, they just make your appointments speedier for the orthodontists.
