For those who wore braces...?!
Question: Do you still wear your retainers at night? I do, my orthodontist has recommended it & my teeth have not moved since (I'm 24, I wore braces from 9-11 yrs old, removed my wisdom teeth when I was 19). Was wearing braces worth it in your opinion?

Are you asking if it was worht it financially? I think so, especially since I suppose that you're saying that your teeth still look great! I just got my braces off yesterday (I'll be 23 this summer), and I think that the braces have been totally worth it. I can just think back to all of the snickering comments and mean kids while I was growing up and I know it's all worthwhile-all the pain and suffering and time. As far as the retainer, I would definitely keep wearing it. It doesn't seem like it's a huge hassle or anything, so just to be safe, I would keep wearing it every night!
braces was worth it for me! I LOVE my smile now. and yes i still wear my retainer at night. i had braces from 7th grade to 9th grade and my wisdom teeth out when i was 17 and I'm 18 now I'm still wearing retainers but not every night
Yes! Although its a bit unusual 2 b wearing retainers this late on, your orthodontist is being careful- appreciate it as a lot of orthodontists want 2 take them off n move on 2 another patient....
Ive had braces since i was 13 n now im 18 ive been recommended to wear retainers until the age of 21-22 and i wear my retainers twice a week, gradually less... if your 24 your orthodontist should tell you 2 only wear them one or two nights a week... maybe even less to wean ur teeth off them in a sense...
i think it was worth it for me i have had my braces off since august and everyone keeps complimenting me on how straight my teeth are. People undergoing treatment have said that they hope theres turn out like mine. So i am really happy that i wore braces and that i have been wearing the retainer ! ! !
