Two possibilities. If they've been there since the teeth erupted (came through) it's fluorosis (http://www.doctorspiller.com/fluoride.ht... half way down the page).

If they appeared recently they are white spot lesions where the enamel has been weakened by the dissolving of it's mineral content by acid in the diet or produced by plaque bacteria. This can be the start of tooth decay so you might consider reexamining your diet and/or seeing your dentist.

good question..i have that sometimes too..i think it's because we're lacking in calcium.

Don't worry - I have them too. Did you have some sort of teeth injury or something that could have cause your teeth to get damaged? That's the reason for mine. Another thing could simply be a lack of Calcium or other nutrients. You can easily but Calcium tablets, the once that dissolve in water are really good, and taste nice too! If you eat a lot of sugary foods, that could also contribute to bacteria building up and making white stains..

Hope this helped, have a nice day! =)

could be plaque or tartar-build up on teeth due to sugar and bacteria

this is fairly normal but can cause cavities so see your dentist :)

i've had those since i was little that come and go... who knows!
