I had 2 teeth pulled out on Monday. Is it possible to still get dry socket?!

Question: You develop Dry Socket 4-5 days after an extraction. If you get dry socket and do not have it treated the pain will linger for a couple of weeks. If after a week, if you haven't had any pain, it is very unlikely that you will.

Yes. I would say 2 weeks.

YES! Until the tissue has completely healed and the holes sealed it is very possiple to have the clots pulled out. To be safe no smoking, gum chewing or sucking through straws for at least a week (7 days) then play it by ear.

Yes. I had dry socket a month after my extractions. It was awful, my face swelled up too. Treat the area gently.
