it doesnt hurt when they take you're braces off.. they take it off by melting the glue.. it's really exciting once you get it off! i can tell you i was really happy to see my teeth again! it's going to feel really weird to put you're tounge on your teeth! and to even brush it! well, everythings gonna be different! PLEASE remember to wear your retainers.. bc i'm assuming you're getting them.. they may be a pain! but it's worth it! and i know many people including myself who don't wear them bc it does get old! but it's worth it.. trust me!

but i'm really excited for you! good luck! i hope you like the new look that you get! =)

lucky...i dunno if it hurts but your lucky...i get mine off in 20 months...

yes... it hurts like someone is eating your organs out of your stomach with a fork... its quite lovely

try to be tough and it won't hurt but it will feel strange when there off

it doesn't hurt at all, it's just a bit of pressure and then they clean off the cement. It will fill funny and you teeth will feel "slimey" but that's just because you haven't really felt them in a long time. you will get a retainer which makes you talk funny at first, but make sure you wear it, so your teeth don't go back!! Yay!! Congrats!! :)

No it does not hurt. You won't stop licking your teeth for a feels days though. LOL. All they do is pop out the wires, pop off the brackets, then they take a little machine head to sandpaper off the glue on each of your individual teeth.

im in braces now so i have same questions for my sister who had themm. and she said it DOESN'T hurt..... it's just REALLY weird bc it's so diff. haha. and do u rememebr when they put them on? that lil machine type thingy that just made a beep sounds and the cement was hardened.....
well that's what they'll use again only it will UNharden it....

TOTALLY unpainfull. haha

I ENVY U GIRL! braces suc! ha (but they gots sexy results haha)

Na. It doesn't hurt. You just hear a popping, and see the wire coming out! Id advise keeping hold to your retainers and using them religiously though. My brother advises against the permanent retainers, and my teeth are starting to move so I have to get corrective retainers!

they take out the wire in your braces. then they brake off the braces with a tool. it kinda crushes the brace off your tooth. it doesn't hurt. they have to pull those brackets off your back teeth too. nothing in the procedure hurts, it takes a while. They give you water to rinse out your mouth cuz when they crush the brace off the little particles get in your mouth and it kinda feel like theres little sand particles in your mouth. Congrats though!

it hurts a little
its dull pressure on each tooth
tastes really bad
the sound is horrible, metal tools scrapping of glue....
its totally worth it, dont stress
o and the cotton they shove on the side is annoying sometimes gagging feeling

No it doesn't hurt. Molar bands are the worst part of having braces. I never liked having them changed out. (I didn't have the nicest orthodontist in the world though either.) It does feel weird having them off.

ok no,
but it hurts when u get the brackets off!
ouchhh!!

but hope ur teeth turn out good!

No it does not hurt. I used to have braces and when they removed them they used a special kind of clippers that bend the squares to remove the wires and then pluck off the squares. the only time it may hurt is when they grind a little of your teeth when they grind the glue off your teeth and even the teeth out by grinding the bottom.

doesnt hurt very much
