Is it wiser to get braces before or after wisdom teeth grow out or if it matters!

Question: Im 17 by the way and from what i've read, my wisdom teeth might be coming out soon but I need braces. I have an overbite

You should have your wisdom teeth evaluated. If you don't have enough room for them, and they try to come in, it will mess up any work the braces do, as well as be more painful later. If you have enough room, and they will not affect the work the braces will do, then go ahead and get the braces. Your dentist/orthodontist should be able to tell you the best options for you.

it doesn't matter either way, your wisdom teeth will either be fine or have to come out or be fine and that is determined before you even get braces, see your dentist and they will recommend you a orthodontist if they think it is needed

I had braces when I was fourteen (I am now 20). Luckily ,my cousins are dentists and they kept a close eye on my teeth (for free!) for my wisdom teeth. If they would have grown in, it would have messed up the alignment in my teeth. So when they were about to pop out, he removed them.

So since your near the age when wisdom teeth usually come out, I suggest you wait. (Mine came out when I was 18)

My orthodontist told me when i was in the process (which is rather lengthy) of getting braces that my X-rays show my wisdom teeth coming in. He said they will eventually HAVE TO come out but it can wait till my braces come off, so im guessing it doesn't really matter! (I'm 14 by the way)
