I think you are referring to having implants placed with porcelain crowns.

It is a common misconception to think that if one removes all their teeth and replaces them with dentures or implants they will no longer have to worry about their teeth. The truth is the easiest thing to care for in your mouth is your natural teeth. Anything foreign requires far more maintenance.

If you replace all your teeth with implants, expect anywhere from $1500 - $4000 per tooth (US). Then realize that these are placed into the tissue and bone which means you will still have to go for regular cleanings, floss daily and maintain good tissue health in order for them to last. Just like natural teeth, if the tissues and bone are not healthy the implant will eventually fail.

Unless you have a true medical need to remove your teeth, keep them. They will always be the best option to have in your mouth.

I've heard that implants are much cheaper in Thailand, and the dentists are very good. But keep your natural teeth as long as posssible. And the word is porcelain.
