Anyone with braces! do u chew gum with them?!
Question: i think its fine but y do they say we cant. my friends say sugar free gum is ok 2 chew with it. seriously.....whats the worse that could happen?

they tell u not too cus it can get stuck in ur braces and sometimes pull off ur brackets

i chew gum they yell at me but it still do it
they dont want you too because it gets stuck to ur braces but who cares i still chew it =P
any gum is fine.
I did, and it was fine. Just be careful, they can get stuck in the braces, or pull one off. Mine never pulled one off, but did get stuck a bit.
My orthodontist encouraged me to chew gum because it can help with pain but you should only chew sugar-free! It is fine to chew sugar-less gum, and it won't hurt. I think it helps. Talk to your dentist or orthodontist and follow their instructions. With some add ons, like metal chains, you can't chew gum at all, but it truly depends on the type of races you have.
I *chew* have braces and *squish* and chewing stride gum right now, never hurt me? ( although i do believe it can break ur brackets) it gets a lil bit stuck sometimes but never bad , anyways almost all the good gum is sugarfree!
I do but i try to chew sugar free. The sugar high ones give you cavities. And alot.
