Can you help me with this braces question?!
Question: Well I really need to get braces and my mom doesn't think so. I have never visited an orthodontist or anything so she has no proof I need them. Also she says she doesn't have the money for the and that is why I cannot get them. But well sisnce I had a tooth pulled a long time ago all of my teeth have spread apart on my bottom and I have extremely big gaps down there and my top teeth are kind of crooked not as bad as the bottoms though. So anyway I am not sure how to convince her to let me get them. And my uncle will be moving into my house in one week and since we are the type of family who lives week to week on paychecks my uncle is paying 400$ rent a month. My dad also might get a side job sometimes. Both of my parents actually make a lot of money each paycheck so to me money doesn't seem to be a concern but I don't know.
Well with all of this information, could you help me with some sort of plan to get my mom to even concider braces? INfo on them would help too maybe some prices.

Obviously many people go without braces and are fine, but some people benefit from them (other then cosmetically).
Braces help to straighten the teeth and close those gaps so that food passes easier without getting into crevices. Also they can help with jaw alignment and keep you from having problems down the line. (These are just brief reasons, many more benefits).
I know that many places (such as Castle Dental here in Houston) have braces plans for $109 a month.
well... do you have an overbite (when ure top jaw is reli far ova ure bottom 1) cause that can effect your health that the reason i got/am getting braces? hope this helped
Well.. Braces are VERY expensive, they're about 6000 dollars.. could be more by the way you descirbed your teeth, so save up a little and you most likely want to visit a dentist.
Braces are expensive and not everyone's parents can afford them. Mine couldn't and I lived with a gap in my teeth my entire life. I work with older adults who have them for that reason. Ask your dentist what he/she thinks. If you need them, you an ask him if he knows any orthodontists who hav financial plans to help people who need then that have money issues. The cold, hard truth is that mos orthodontists make so much money, they aren't worried about helping anyone but you might find exceptions.
If you can't, take it as an incentive to work hard in school and get a good job someday so you can get your teeth squared away in the future. In the mean time,smile, and don't let it get you down. There's much more to you as a person than a few crooked or gapped teeth for a few years.
It sounds like it is more of a money issue. You may want to start saving money so you can pay for it yourself. Also, you may want to check out a local dental school. Sometimes you can get stuff done there a lot cheaper.
