I have to get four teeth pulled out, and I have braces.?!

Question: I am not really scared, but, I do'nt wanna do it. My mom said that if I don't do it, my teeth will be crooked. And my orthodontist said that his daughter had to do it, and she had to got to a party after it, and she felt absolutly fine. And, My mom said that she will pay me $20 if I do it. What should I do? Does it hurt? And I am going to be asleep. Will it still hurt? Help me!

I had actually 6 teeth pulled (overbite) for braces. The reality is there is no pain at the time of extraction. But after wards there can be discomfort but you will get painkillers and they help. You will rise with a salt solution for a awhile.Bottom line it is necessity for there is be room for teeth alignment correction and the pain or difficulty involved will pay off in the end. Do it and bite the bullet so to speak. Hey save the teeth and money up to the tooth fairy for more than $20.00. Its no biggy

The first week hurts a bit but u get over the pain soon enough. After that its a piece of cake, u don't even relise that your wearing them most of the time and trust me, its worth it

go ahead. it doesn't hurt, don't need to be asleep. ask the Dr f you can take some pain killer before the surgery so it wont bother you.

You are probably getting your wisdom teeth pulled out right?

When I had braces I had to get my wisdom teeth pulled out also because they would have messed up the rest of my teeth if they came in. I got all 4 of mine taken out at the same time.

You will probably be in pain for about a week or so. I rememeber that I didn't eat any solid food for about 5 days after I got them taken out. Your orthodontist/ dental surgeon that extracts your teeth should give you a prescription for pain medicine.

When I got my 4 wisdom teeth taken out, they put me to sleep with some sort of gas. They also numbed my mouth by giving me shots in my gums and cheeks.

For me it was a little scary at first because the gas that they put me to sleep with really knocked me out. When I got up from the surgery, I could barely walk straight.

It's not all that bad, but your mouth will be sore for about a week.

No it doesn't hurt because they numb your mouth. You will feel a little tug and that's about it. No your are going to be awake. It MIGHT hurt after but its s good idea to have some pain killers ready. Put if it get swollen, then you should put some ice on it. Also rinse with water and spoon of salt after the bleeding stops.
Its helps get the bacteria to go away.
Don't worry you'll be fine.
The part where there is pain is when they numb your mouth.
Oh and also when they take the teeth out, when it hurts just say ow, and they will put more numb-ness on it. If you don't say anything and it hurts, when they pull it out, it's going to hurt like hell.
But its worth it at the end,
Oh and its a good idea to eat before and sleep after.
It helps get the numb feeling to go away.
gah i hate that feeling
