Dangerous or Not?!

Question:

Dangerous or Not?

I will be getting all four of my wisdom tooth out on Thursday. I wanted to go to Mexicali B.C. this Sat if I'm feeling ok. Is it a bad idea? I won't be doing anything crazy I will just go visit my husbands grandparents & it will be a one day thing go & come back on the same day. I have heard that is bad to get too much sunlight after you get teeth pull out. Is this true? I will get a lot of sun on our way back since we will be driving back that afternoon.

Answers:

If you are feeling ok, then make the trip. Having 4 teeth pulled isn't too bad usually the first few days. It is just the achy feeling after that tends to garner most of the complaining about that procedure.

As for the sun, no, it will not affect you with respect to your teeth getting pulled. The only issue is the Sun tends to dehydrate people (most don't drink water when in the Sun) which can cause headaches. Those headaches might amplify any mouth soreness you have just due to proximity. If you just stay hydrated, you should be fine.

Plus, you are talking about sore nerve endings. Some people are affected by the rain, sun, wind etc... and it is all based on how well their body handles "traumas" like that. You may be sensitive to the Sun but you could also be sensitive if the temperature drops. Ask anyone who says they can tell when the weather changes by how their joints react. Same principle. It has nothing to do with the surgery and all to do with the individual.
