Can i use retainers without having braces?!

Question:

Can i use retainers without having braces?

Answers:

Although I've had braces twice and my teeth moved back both times, I am now using articulating retainers. These can be used by people who have never had braces to move teeth in the upper and lower front. It is a slow process, however, and you have to go in for monthly adjustments. But, if you only have a couple of teeth to move, are will to put in the time and wear them 24/7, they do work. A set cost $500 and all of the adjustments are free. I've had mine since september and monthly adjustments until the end of April to move my errant teeth, now I'm on the 6 month plan to check the alignment and make any adjustments. The articulating retainers can also be used to maintain the alignment and not specifically move teeth.
