Getting through life without ever visiting a dentist!?!

Question:

Getting through life without ever visiting a dentist!?

Ok please nobody try to tempt me to go to one. I would rather be dead, die and go to one in all seriousness. No offence to dentists i think you do a great job but its not my thing. I want to know if my teeth will still decay even if I do not eat hardly any sugar foods and clean them 24/7. My mother says this will only work for atleast 4 years and I will end in pain. So i want on advice on the best options to save my teeth alone please!! If i do develop pain then what can i do. will they fall out alone eventually. Yes this is stupid but its my wish in life. Is it alot to ask?

Answers:

Cavemen didn't have cavities because they never ate sugary foods. The keyword is never. There is one strain of bacteria called strep mutans that lives in everyones mouth and makes a glue that sticks all the other bacteria living in there to your teeth. That's why plaque sticks to your teeth. Plaque is 60% bacteria. Now all of these other bacteria can make a cavity with simple sugars in fruit and carbohydrates in bread and crackers. So simply limiting your sugar intake will not work. You can't cut it out altogether either. Try to eat without ingesting high fructose corn syrup. It's in everything.

You can go your whole life without going to the dentist, but chances are you're going to have nights of severe, severe, severe pain (ask someone who's had a toothache) followed by a trip to the dentist to have a tooth pulled or a root canal. It's all about the choices you make in life.

If you know someone who has dentures, ask them how the like them. It changes your personality when you get them. I see it all the time.

Now regular visits should be easy if you keep your teeth as clean as you say you do. And if you do get a cavity, it will be small and easy to fix. If you wait until it hurts, you won't be able to have much done by a dentist that doesn't hurt.

If you're a real phobic, try a sedation dentist.
