What happens to bacteria in the mouth over night?!

Question:

What happens to bacteria in the mouth over night?

and how does it form?

Answers:

Well, don't you ever wonder how we get bad breath? For the most part, we close our mouths when we sleep. Bacteria love moist areas. The mouth is a perfect place to settle in. They begin to form and spread throughout the mouth, like the tongue and the gum area with the help of saliva. Hence, the idea of brushing your teeth at night before bed to kill the active germs. Even the food particles will settle in your teeth-creating cavities over time. So it's also best to rinse with something like Listerine to kill all bacteria inside the mouth. But even then, it's an ongoing battle! This even happens throughout the day when our mouths are shut. When you have your mouth open, your not really creating a warm atmosphere for them because your breathing in so the air in a way helps the dryness. I sort of learned this once from my bio professor-only he explained it in a more complicated way. Hope I helped...=)
