PLEASE! Gum...? (any dentist type person please answer)?!

Question: Okay so I have been told by my destist that I have tiny cavities between my teeth that may not ever actually need filled... hopefully you can figure out what I am talking about. He said that it was probally from drinking so much cokes. I have now completley stopped drinking cokes and started using this toothpaste they gave me that is supposed to help with refilling it or something. And I have also started brushing my teeth after I eat anything. (If you can't tell I am pretty much freaking out about this cause they said I had alot of them (all small)). Anyway, my question is will chewing gum help this at all? (I'll settle for a tiny bit) And also, would using mouthwash help all because I tend to kinda gag on it would if it would help then I would try.
Thank you so much for any help.

These are "interproximal" caries (cavities). It is the most common place for decay to start because it's hard to keep the space between your teeth clean. When these caries are very small and haven't progressed through the enamel completely they can often be reversed. What your dentist likely gave you was a specially fluoridated toothpaste to help remineralize the enamel.

Gum with xylitol (like icebreakers) may help because that component kills bacteria. Rinsing with mouthwash will help. Most important, floss daily. Flossing cleans the space between the teeth.

Good luck.

well maybe gum can help try the sugar free gum like orbit that might help and mouthwash would probably help because it goes kind of between your teeth so you can use gum and mouthwash
