Tobacco chewing causes cancer.why govt,do not stop it manufacturing?!

Tobacco production makes money, and the government taxes things people make. The government would likely be seen as tyrannical if they stopped production of harmful things, and the sad truth is that if tobacco was banned, a lot of people would be out of jobs. Some cities and states have introduced a public-smoking ban, which has cut down on social tobacco use, but it's caused a large upset, especially where I'm from, in Kentucky tobacco is the state's cash-crop, pretty much. If the government stopped the cultivating of tobacco, all those farmers, and the people that work for the farmers, and in factories would be out of jobs, and then likely be on wellfare, which would make things more expensive for other people. There are warnings all over the packages too, and likely, the mindset of users is, 'Well, I won't be affected.' Sad but true.

Same reason they won't quit making cigarettes. They stamp the Surgeon General's warning on it and call it good... Kind of like informed consent. "Hey. This stuff could kill you... But, if you want to use it, it's your deal. Not ours."

Government is getting more tax by tobacco, cigarates and drinks etc., Why they will stop?
I'm afraid the government will not halt manufacturing of tobacco because it's essentially a money maker for them just a much as it's a money maker for the tobacco industry.
Not much anybody can do if a full grown adult makes the active choice to chew tobacco or smoke cigarettes.
I think the smokers should be respectful for others who do not smoke.
Its because people demand for them. They want to chew those tobaccoes as a fassion.
And its also true that the politicians themselves do that. And then no question of stoping it. The major thing is that govt. is running behind MONEY!money!
Because, big tobacco makes too much in taxes for our government on a product that is called a controlled growth. Tobacco is grown by farmers and does not grow wild, and many steps is involved in making cigarettes, or chew. But, since marijuana can be grown by anyone, anywhere, it is illegal because they cant get tax revenue off of someone that grows it in their house. Alcohol, made legal and accepted by people world wide kills many people as well as tobacco but, is legal because the government gets its taxes off of it, while moonshiners make alcohol, they are outlaws. Basically what I am saying, is that this country is ran by greed, and not the health and well being of others. It is hypocritical as well as corrupt.Yet, it embraces things that destroy our lives, and shuns things like marijuana that has many benefits to people that really need it. The drug company can sell you something to cure your pain from cancer at $75 a pill but, while illegal a joint does the same thing at only $3 but, they cant controll it, so they never will allow it.
