Why do we have nerves in our teeth?!

Question:

Why do we have nerves in our teeth?

Answers:

To let us know when there is a problem.
For instance...If we got large cavity and we didn't have nerves we wouldn't know and the cavity could eat into the tooth and cause an infection and bone loss and other problems.
Nerves in our bodies including teeth tell us when something is wrong.
