What is the point of fillings?
i know if u have cavities and they take out all the decay and replace the hole in ur tooth with a filling. what does the filling do? does that part of ur tooth grow back? prolly not. obviously they fall out eventually but how long do they last and is there a big hole in ur tooth when they do?
Answers:
it replacecs natural tooth structure, giving it the same durability and strength as a tooth. if you were not to have any fillings, more decay will occur. and no, the part of the tooth will never grow back. Fillings usually last 10 years(metal fillings)
