Braces.....2 Years?!

Braces.....2 Years?
Me and my ortho were talking today about getting my braces soon. And he said about 2 years! I was kind of sad to hear that I thought maybe a year close to two.
Does anyone know if these are always completely accurate? MAYBE JUST MAYBE, Could my teeth possibly be straighter before then?
Answers:
They might look straight, but there's over/under bite if you have it. It really depends on how straight your teeth are right now I'd think.
Be thankful it's only two years - I had to wear them for six years.
