Kissing and bad teeth?!

Question: my BF chews sweets all the time, drinks sugary drinks, doesnt brush rite

but he refuses to go to the dentist till finally one day his teeth had rotted away so bad i had to puch him to see a dentist who took out alot of teeth. He could not afford to get more treatment done so i gave him a loan. Now weeks later he still hasnt got his teeth sorted. He had a BIG fear of the dentist but i noticed his FRONT teeth were beedling not just bleeding but gushing, dripping down his mouth i told him and he was like so what. He two front teeth are venners but i can see behind them black stuff where the blood was coming. He still tries to kisss me and i pull away. I cant bring my self to tell him why. I have taken care of my teeth and i have heard gum disease can be passed on.

The smell gets me too. He gave me back the money i gave him and tells me hes not going to the dentist. Im scared of the dentist too. He takes my non kissing of him personally but do you blame me. How do i persuade him?

As someone who has seen my fair share of dentists due to overcrowding much earlier in my life I can say that sounds terrible. Oral hygiene spills over to overall health, any filth in his mouth is being ingested when he swallows so oral cleanliness is very important. One of the first things I look at in the mirror is my teeth and since wearing braces I've tried to make sure my teeth are always in top condition. This may seem biased towards my own experience but it's intended to drive home one point, ones mouth is very important. How can anyone expect to be taken seriously when their teeth are in such bad condition? It not only smells, it shows he doesn't take care of himself.

Not kissing him is enough to get him to fix his stank teeth, so tell him the truth.

some people have a genuine phobia of dentists. you should tell the dentist about it and they will take things slowly and make things a lot more easier. maybe sedation might be a option in his situation.
