I need root canal's... What should I do if I cant afford one?!

Question: I really cant afford this.

I know I need at least 3 root canals... I went to the dentist and had a bunch of cavaties... 8 were POSSIBLE root canals. They were so close to the nerve and if I started to have pain, then they said I would prob need to have a root canal.

I have SO much pain. I cant drink cold water or eat anything cold... I take about 6 ibprofin's a day to help the pain and I know that cant be good for my liver. I cant afford even one root canal!!!! any advice on what to do until I can? the pain is horrible.

if they are teeth your not gonna see, yank em. Root canals are the devils friend, and half of the time you end up in pain anyways. pulling them is cheaper, easier and ends the pain alot quicker....
I opted for pulling 2 bad ones that needed root canals after I had a root canal that was aweful. Im not good with dentists anyways, but the pain was unbearable, and it wasnt that I had a bad dentist, I went to a very well known, very professional, very expensive dentist, he did a good job but they tell you sometimes there is still pain. So I had the other 2 pulled, they were in the back, no one can tell.

If you live near a dental school, they may offer services. Contact the local dental society in your area. If you don't know where it is, contact the American Dental Association. They should be able to direct you to your local dental society. They will give you the names of dentists/dental providers that provide free and sliding scale services. You may also want to consider a discount dental plan, like Careington.

I have been there! It sucks!
Your only option other then a root canal....is to have the teeth pulled. After a root canal sometimes you have to get a "crown" as well.... even more money. If you don't have dental insurance, maybe you can go through a county type program. I know of someone who has done that. If you have medical coverage sometimes(if its really bad) that might cover some of it. Just remember that dental issues will end up being medical issues....you can get really sick from bad teeth!
Good Luck!
