How long does a dry socket take to heal? Its a molar dry socket?!
Question: dry sockets suck..you need to go to the surgeon and get it packed...i had them on both sides of my bottom teeth and i had to get them both packed atleast 2-3 times before i felt little discomfort. to relieve discomfort take ibuprofen or ask for a muscle relaxer. dry socket usually presents with painful symptoms and feels better when its medically packed with the medicated strip...but the "hole" or "socket" itself takes atleast 2-4 weeks to become completely sealed up becuase your mouth is a breeding ground for bacteria and it is very hard to heal a surgical hole in your mouth due to the high moisture levels and the body warmth.

If you're taking mediaction then it should start to feel better after 48 hours. I've had that, it's very painful so you have my sympathy.
