Elastics: to wear or not to wear?!
Question: My dentist asked me if I wore elastics last time I went for a cleaning (a few weeks ago) and I told him that I didn't. He then recommended I did, but my orthodontist hasn't said so himself. The question is, should I be wearing elastics if I haven't been directly told to?

no.
the orthodontist knows very well what he's doing. usually elastics is part of the last step before completion of treatment. Wait a while longer until things settle in, and your orthodontist will then tell you when & where to wear elastics.
No i wore braces when i was 13 and the orthodontist will tell you and actually put them where he wants them if you need em.
