Have u ever had 2 get ur filling refilled?!

Question: Yes, several reasons for this. Most commonly people get new cavities around the old filling in the tooth structure adjacent to the filling or a new cavity in between their teeth from not flossing enough. It is becoming a more popular problem with the increasing amounts of pops or sodas that everyone sips all day long. This is horribly for your teeth b/c it not only contains sugars but acids which is a double whammy and sipping it all day long insures a constant flow of this cavity causing power. Also, Fillings only last so long. On average a tooth colored filling if well taken care of will last 5-10 years but can last longer. A silver or amalgam filling will last anywhere from 10-15 if well taken care of. However, all of these eventually reach their life span.

Pets cant get their teeth filled, nor have dentures..did you know?.

Dental fillings usually have a life of about 5-10 years ideally. The fillings may need to be replaced after that. In other cases all the broken fillings need to be replaced. It is usually required to prevent the tooth from becoming carious (known as secondary caries).
