I never been to the dentist, I only went once when I was a little girl. My parents never really, saw the need to take me to the dentist I suppose. I have some crooked teeth, nothing serious, but something I want to fix, so I have to get braces. My best friend's Dad said I would have to go to the dentist first. I've had these black marks (which her Dad said were cavities) for about 6-8 years. They don't hurt me at all though, I thought it was just something stuck in the cracks of my teeth all this time. Once I realized what it was, I started really looking. On about 6 of my teeth (my back 3 on each side) I got one mark on the side, and 2-4 on the top.
How would filling all those holes work? I never been, I didn't know you could get so many cavities on one tooth.

Do braces hurt as much as people claim they do?

Do dentist judge? Since I haven' been in so long, I'm a little embaresed.

It sounds like you need a lot of work. you need to get your cavaties filled before they cause anymore problems. if they get any worse then you will be in for some long procedures and serious pain. You should be going to a dentist twice a year for cleanings. Braces don't hurt. They can be uncomfortable but they don't hurt. You need to have all your other problems taken care of before you can get braces. And if you get braces you need to be going to a dentist every 6 months while you have them. A good dentist won't judge. They will be THANKFUL you finally came in to see them. You need to take care of your teeth or else you won't have any. Don't be embarassed just get into a dentist office ASAP before things escalate. Good luck.
