Wisdom teeth Questions?
okay well i have to get wisdom teeth pulled out, just my bottom two and i have a few questions.
-Whats the worst possible thing that can happen. as in the dentist screwing up in?
-They are going to put my to sleep but i heard you ofen wake up alot? is that true?
-How many days will it take for me to recover? to normal.
-Any pain afterwards? i rmb my cousin always having to spit out blood the day after hers were pulled out.

okay...so i'm sitting here answering your question - having had my wisdom teeth (all 4) pulled out last thursday.
my top two came right out - no stitches needed, no pain whatsoever afterwards.
the bottom two, were impacted. growing horizontally, pointing forward in my gums. i had to have them both removed, in 3 pieces. due to how close the roots of these impacted wisdom teeth were growing to the main nerve canal that runs along your lower gum, i was warned by the dentist that in a worst case scenario, i could lose feeling in my lower jaw forever. or maybe 6 months, 3 weeks...he couldn't tell. after getting the lower teeth out, he had to replace some of the bone from a bone graft (which is painless). i have stitches on both sides of my lower jaw, and feeling is back 100%.
so, after that SCARY dentist trip, i got my antibiotics and my vicodin and took myself home. i waited...and honestly, besides a super SUPER swollen lower jaw and neck on Saturday and Sunday - i didn't have much pain. no shooting pain or sharp pain. moreso discomfort from being so swollen and sore. until today, i am still a little swollen, but exponentially better than yesterday even. i am still eating ice cream, jello, pudding, etc...but all in all, i was more freaked out than anything.
it wasn't that bad. i went to work today...good luck!!
oh and regarding waking up in the middle of it...i did. you'll be so loaded you won't even mind. i promise. i vaguely remember talking to the oral surgeon about star wars or someting. and trust me...i'm no follower of the ewoks or anything. haha! you should be fine!! don't let people scare you too much.
