Question: Does anyone know if full time University Students, over the age of 18, get free dental care on the nhs?

Thanks to anyone who answers :)

Sorry, no you don't. However if you live near a dental college ypu can get free treatment but only because you agree to students practising on you under supervision.

i would presume so

I was under the impression that NHS care remained free?

You have to pay for prescriptions though, i dont know about dentists. Maybe you can phone one.

Im pretty sure u can get a form to fill in at the dentists which covers you while you are still in full time education

Actually I think not.
It is cheaper on the NHS, but I think you still have to pay.

I'm afraid they don't. I wondered the same when my two children went to Uni and I ended up having to pay for them.

There is a form that you have to fill out first but you may not be eligible for free dental treatment. Pop into the chemist and ask for a form I think it is an e111

No, you can fill in an HC1 form which assesses your income and you are given a maximum amount which you would be expected to pay towards dental treatment, opticians etc - this lasts for one year then you apply again. You can get that form from the post office. Chances are you'll still have to pay the
