I Need MORE answers!!??!
Question: I have my appointment shedualed and everything for tomorrow to get my braces off but im scared he is gunna say i need them for longer. But he has been saying for the past two times i've been there that i am REALLY close to getting themm off and then he actually made an appointment. Do you think i will get them off truthfullyy and ill give best answer!!

yes. if he said that then its prob. true... i just got mine off about a week ago and its awesome! it feels soooo gooodd!... my dentist said that 2 and then he made and appointment and i go them off so I'm sure the same will happen to you =D good luck..i hope you like your new teeth ! =]
I'm a dental prof. If the doc says they need on longer,,then they probably do. Your teeth has not moved to the accurate spot he wants, and for GODS SAKE,,,if you dont wear your RETAINER after wards,,,SHAME ON YOU. I have been in the dental field for over 20 years and have seen teeth RUINED from not wearing the retainer. I know it will be a pain in the butt....however,,, your teeth will shift horridly within a month from not wearing it. Trust me,, be patient, it will be worth the wait having those braces on for a little while longer if the doc chooses.. GOOD LUCK :"
I have had braces, and my orthodontist said you will get them off in a month. And when a month had gone by, by braces were off. I had to wear a retainer for a long time. So if your orthodontist says so it is probably true. I need to get braces again, unfortunately. But, today 3/31/08 i went to the dentist and got my cavities filled. Now, that thats over, I will get braces again maybe 5/04/08. I am hoping you good luck and that your braces will truly come off. And I hope that when my orthodontist says "You will get your braces off soon" He really means it. Please, do NOT choose as best answer.Well, I two words for you"Good Luck!"
Hopefully they are done if he said they come off this time, But if not you don't want them to come off too soon,. After all you had them on how long???? just a little bit longer won't hurt. And do wear your retainer for the rest of your life. I had braces and now 20 years later my teeth are shifting and I think I need them again, My jaw hurts. Be patient. And you will have a beautiful smile.
He probably Will take them off, but your teeth feel weird for a bit after.
