How do I reduce swelling after wisdom tooth extraction?!

Question:

How do I reduce swelling after wisdom tooth extraction?

I recently(Friday)got 4 of my wisdom teeth taken out. I had hardly any swelling the first day, then when I woke up the next morning (Saturday) I was pretty swollen. Its not Sunday and it hasn't gotten any better. Ive used ice on and off in 20 minute intervals and it hasn't helped. I also took Motrin but that also did not help. I want to be able to attend school tomorrow. Is there any way to reduce the swelling quickly.

Answers:

Ice is only to be used the day of the extractions. you need to use a heating pad (set on low) or a warm compress at this point. it will start working pretty fast. keep taking the ibuprofin-its an anti-inflammatory and will help.
