I had braces for about two years, and I still have to wear my retainer. When you get them off it doesn't hurt the only time (while you are becoming less of a cyborg) that it does feel very uncomfortable, is when they are sanding off the cement. For me the retainer aches more than the braces. ^-^ Bet you're excited! Good luck and have a nice day!

I had it for almost two years, because of lack of controlling, it was not finished, almost 90% done. But I forced to remove it, really uncomfortable....
