My husband doesn't care about his teeth. How can I get him to?

My husband, who I have been married to for 2 years, doesn't seem to give a lick about his oral hygiene. Many times he won't brush before he comes to bed, and I know that sometimes he doesn't even brush in the morning. It is so sick. Before we even really started dating, I expressed my pet peeve about people who don't have nice teeth. He tells me he has never taken care of his teeth as well as he does now that I am in his life. What?? Before we got married I sent him to BriteSmile for $500 and his teeth looked incredible when they were done with him.

Now, it seems like his teeth are getting yellowed again and it's only been 2 years. He wants to have sex and his mouth is so nasty that I don't want to kiss him. Sometimes he wants to do oral on me, but when I know he hasn't brushed, I don't want to. It freaks me out. Also, we are in counseling & our therapist has gross teeth too. I don't know what help she'd be. I have made suggestions to him over and over. Any advice?

1. Refuse to kiss him. Period.
2. Show him articles showing that oral hygiene is important to heart health. The risk of heart disease and heart attacks increases exponentially if one does not take care of one's teeth. Google it, and you will find plenty of articles!
