Dissapearing white blotch on tooth?!

Question: On my front tooth, I have this white blotch, that seems to only show up if I'm sick. I've had this for years and years, and I always forget to ask the dentist what it is, and why it shows up when I'm sick. When I'm fine, you can't even tell at all thats its there, it totally dissapears.

Most likely it is a super minor fluorosis spot. Too much fluoride ingested some time in your life from eating toothpaste when you were young or etc. It will be more evident when you whiten your teeth or if they are exposed to acid. It may show up more when you are sick due to vomiting or acid reflux. Usually most visible after using whitening/bleaching agents and quickly stains back to normal color. For people with generalized slight fluorosis these white spots are evident all the time. Usually those areas of your teeth are stronger.
