I want my braces off??? 10 points!?!

Question: so tomorrow i have an orthodontist appointment and last time the orthodontist said i might get my braces off next time which would be tomorrow. If you are getting them off is the appointment scheduled different than a regular one? is there any way that i can tell them to take off my braces so they will? i mean i think i am getting them off tomorrow but i want it to be for sure!!

When I got mine off it was just like so, they just told me i would get them off next time, thouh a lot of people are told that and then have another month or two of waiting. I think that if you have worn your bands or whatever for as long as necceasry and you have done things correctly they should be off by tommorow, though the appointment time doesn't really make much difference.

Usually, (at least what they do at my orthodontist) they also schedule a retainer pickup along with the scheduling of getting your braces off. If they gave you x-rays last time, then you are definitely getting you braces off =] But if your last appt. was like any other one, then probably not, and you can tell them you want them off, but you have to do a bunch of paperwork, and your results might not be as good.

sigh....1 more year and 5 months until i take them off...

man if you want your braces off well tell them that you want them off that's what i did, because they where telling me tomorrow or on your next appointment so i said "if there is no reason for me having my braces on any more can you just take them off i want to show off my teeth" so they did good luck

Well you can always back out of your braces
If you absoulutely want them off i suggest you tell your ortho (or if ur too young ask a parent)
The ortho may suggest that you are ot ready yet, but they cannot refuse to take them off of you. Its your personal choice and you paid for their service...
Hope it helped!

its really up to the doctor. if u have been doing everything such as flossing, brushing, putting on those rubber bands, it will better ur chances of getting them off on time. i had to go for a couple more months and pay like x amount per check up after that 2 year period having them on. the appointment should take a little longer than regular check ups when they just change colors of your braces or tighten something. they actually pull off the brackets and do some other stuff then make u brush with this special toothpaste to get rid of the cement. hope this helps. make sure u feel that slippery feeling after they are off. it will be weird for a couple of weeks but for the most part it feels great when they are off.
