I would like to hear from anyone who has used invisalign braces..did they work???

I just want to know what kinds of things to expect. I know the change is very slow and gradual...but anything I should be aware of??? Thanks :)

I just got my first set last monday and I have been wearing them all the time..At first I didnt take them off because it hurt too much and the dr. said I would have to wear a retainer at night pretty much the rest of my life, but that would be the case w/ metal braces as well. My problem was I compete in beauty pageants non stop and also model so this seemed like the only choice.

The cost.
Invisallign are set of 'retainers' which will move the teeth, one tooth by one tooth, 2mm per 2 weeks when you move on to the next invisallign retainer. The catch is that you must wear it most diligently, except for the combined 1 hour for your 3 meals. (eating less will result you in losing weight).

Problem is that many pple do not wear it diligently and resulted a longer treatment. Depending on the imperfections of your teeth, more movements needed mean more invisallign needed, more time needed to complete the course. If you need to need to move molars, it will also take more time.

Lastly, you must ensure that you do not have gum diseases, which will make teeth move. Even after your have complte your treatment, and the teeth starts to move again, all efforts will be wasted.
