Wisdom Tooth - Puss in Mouth after 4 weeks.?
Hi,
I removed ALL four of my wisdoms approximately four weeks ago. I just recently looking into my mouth at my wounds to see how they are healing and found one filled with puss. This is after I took all of my amoxocillin, mouth cleansing, and ibuprofen. Should I worry about this?
I'm currently in Korea and will be going to Australia tomorrow for work. I wont be home in the states for at least another week. Would it be wise to find a dentist to look at this? Or would an Oral surgeon be ideal?

It is possible that you are seeing tissue that is sloughing (shedding). If you aren't having pain or a really bad taste in your mouth you might be just fine. If you were having a problem with a dry socket or bad infection I really think you would know. Don't pick at the area, just clean your mouth normally and continue to rinse gently and if you need find a dentist to check it out. Good luck!
