What will the dentist do?!
Question: Im 16 years old. My molar is chipped badly. But im in no pain or anything. Its dark brown on the inside and the left side of the tooth is completly gone. Well, its gone on the top left side but not inside my jaw bone. What will he do? I hope he doesnt do a root canal! lol

Depending on the extent of the decay the tooth may be able to be saved. If the decay is down to the nerve he/she will do a root canal treatment (not as bad as you think!) and then build the tooth back up (maybe needing a crown?) OR if the decay has gone too far the tooth will need extracting.
I hope this helps you (try not to worry)

No, he won't do a root canal because your tooth is rotten at the root and will be pulled out. Dentists never save teeth that are black or brown in colour as you could get seriously sick if that infected tooth remains in your jaw.
Listen to rachelle.....
It all depends on how far the decay is. I recently went to the dentist and thought I had a tooth that would most liley need a root canal. I have a huge cavity at the base of the tooth. It only needs a filling.
