Does it hurt to get your wisdom teeth pulled? how much if it does on a scale of !

Question: For me it was a 5 or 6. If you get put to sleep when they take them out, it will help with anxiety and it just helps them get the job done quicker. It hurts after, not during. Just eat soft foods and dont push yourself. You will probably be eating soft foods for about 5 to 7 days depending on how fast you heal.

Just depends on your pain tolerance and how bad they are. For me I have a real high pain tolerance, it was a piece of cake, did 2 at a time, just the basic novacaine. The most uncomfortable part was the dentist jumping around trying to yank them out lol. The second trip when he did the other 2, ended up with dry socket in one, and that was very very painful.
But, I've heard horror stories from people, but I think they were just wusses anyway. Like I said, just depends. But I wouldn't worry about it.

Millions of people a year get wisdom teeth pulled. Its no big deal. Have them put you out completely and use laughing gas ! That is the best. If your teeth are impacted or coming in funny it will hurt a lot more than if you are not having problems with them. Like the previous poster said, it depends on pain tolerance and how bad the teeth are. But milk it for all you can, vicodin in niiiice

It all depends. If you are getting novacain.. it will hurt less. If your Insurance can't pay for novacain and you are getting it out just then and there then it would proably hurst at bout a 9. Unless you are a peron that can tolerate pain.

the pulling wasnt my problem. the next day was HELL!!!! make sure u take the medicine accordingly to avoid the pain!! oucch :)

but come on, there r worst pain like giving birth!

Just make sure you start your pain medication immediately! Get your RX filled quickly. I had all 4 done at once, and they were impacted. I went to an oral surgeon. Went under. Just keep on top of taking your meds on time don't wait..and GENTLY swish with salt water, they will heal so much faster.
And if you have to get more than one pulled....do them all at one time.

i had all 4 out at once, they were all severely impacted too! they put me under, and i dint remember much i was super tired when she injected the stuff, and that was it. when i woke up i was irritated an not so much i pain but really uncomfortable. the next few days there was no pain. te 2nd day i threw up anything i tried to eat (drink really) but my husband brought home the flu so that made my experience HORRIBLE!

best advice DONT GET THE FLU and youll be fine.
