When do I get rubber bands for braces and Where?!
Question: ok so you know when you have had braces for a while, you get rubber bands going from the top to the bottom? well when do you get those? I've had my braces for about 5 months. Will I get them soon? Does everyone get them or does it just depend on your mouth? Well also, I saw a girl walking around school today carrying a bag of them and putting 2 in. Well they weren't just the regular clear or beige ones, they were like RAINBOW!! here were the colors I could see: Pink, Red, Light Blue, Purple, Green, Yellow, Dark Blue, Orange and a TYE-DYE one!!! It depends on your mouth, entirely. Most people do wind up needing them, and they're used to correct the bite. I started using them at around a year or so in to close spaces where they had pulled teeth and to fix some overbite. Still using them, and I'm at 2 years, one month. As far as the color thing goes, it'll depend on what your orthodontist has got and how nice they are. Haha. Mine usually ask me if I'd like some "pretty color ones".
Thoe rubber bands are by Rx only. Your orthodontic is the only one that can give you the rubber bands. Most people will wear the rubber bands at some point during their treatment. They are use to correct the bite. About the color is up to the orthodontic supplies the doctor gets.

Well it all depends on your orthodontist. You could get them in the begginging, the end, or the whole way through (like I did) but some people don't get them at all, and yet some people have to wear 6 at a time. You can ONLY get them at your orthodontist. The colors vary from orthodontist, mine sometimes had the colorful kinds, and sometimes they had the clear or beige kinds. It all depends.

Your orthodontist will give you them maybe after 6 months. Ask yourorthodontist and I'm sure he'll give you the colored ones. Be sure to wear them though; or you'll have your braces on longer than you were supposed to. I didn't.. it sucked.

and ask ur ortho for colors and i think u can get them at a drugstore
