How do I massage my gums?!

Question: my dentist told me to massage my gums because they are puffy..... so do you know what she meant? And also, any advice for puffy gums?

massage with a gingival pick... its rubber and pointy! you can also use your toothbrush! while you brush your teeth brush your gums also... but very gently you dont want to rub your gums away. and for puffy gums... floss floss floss... it may bleed for a while but thats only because they are inflamed! oh and Listerine helps alot also!
