Getting my braces off in 10 days! :]?!
Question: super excitedd! :]]] yay. anyone who has had braces before knows how i feel.
only thing im worried about is spots and if theyre gonna jab their tools in my gums.

OMG, yay
i had them
let me tell u a warning there will be white spots where the metal was
and its gonna feel really slimy
but its gonna feel good when u bit into a hamburger or whatever
and WEAR ur braces, seriously ur teeth will move, ull prob. have to wear it in the day in the begining then ur gonna have to wear them at nights, but wear them, forever!!!

they dont jab you and as for spots they whiten your teeth for free so no worries

I just got my braces off 6 days ago. I didn't have any spots, which is something that I was worried about too, and there were no tools jabbed in my gums. I have sensitive gums so they bled a tiny bit but that was about it. It literally took 2 minutes to get the braces off, if not less. The longer part is getting the cement off. You're going to be fine! Smile lots! :D
I had braces for a good five years, so I know that you're probably really worried about how the gums have probably grown over the back bands, ouch! It's a bit uncomfortable I don't remember it being all that painful though.. I mean braces themselves are such a pain anyway, getting them off is a piece of cake compared to some of the stuff I had done lol! so really, congratulations you can officially eat an apple, taffy, and gum comfortably lol!
When I got my braces off it wasn't that bad the only thing I couldn't stand was the scraping against my teeth when they took the glue off (ya know, from the brace brackets) That's about the worst thing that you go through. I didn't have spots on my teeth and I thought I would because I surely didn't brush like I was supposed to. I would skip a day every now and then and I'd brush once a day when I did. So, if you brushed more often then that, then you're good. BTW, my teeth look awesome!!!!! Sure yours will, too... Congrats!!

I got my braces off on December 20th, 2007 and i was soooooooo happy! When I got them off it was so fast and easy! There were no spots but I suggest going to get your teeth cleaned as soon as possible so that they can be thouroughly cleaned. There wasn't that much poking to my gums. All my orthodontist did was use the clipper thingys to clip all of the brakets and then he pulled them off in like a strip. It was really cool and the minute I got home I brushed my brand-new teeth and took a picture! My god i have such pearly whites now! =]
(You should be getting a retainer, make sure that you wear it the way your orthdontist says to so that your teeth don't move!)

For the spots- Ask your dentist if they are decalcifications. If so, ask for some MI paste by GC.
Don't worry about the tools, a skilled orthodontist should be able to do it painlessly.
