Just because the tooth has been previously root canalled doesn't mean that everything is ok. A root canal is just a cleaning and sealing off of the tooth. If the seal is broken then you have a problem.
The seal can be broken for many reasons. A common one is that the tooth root has been fractured.
As you may be able to tell, the best thing you can do is go in and have an x-ray and an exam by a dentist.

You could have a cavity, infection, or something; best go to your dentist for a checkup.

I can think of 3 things off the bat. Either you have a gum issue around the tooth (or in general), or the crown may be "high", or you have another tooth that's causing the problems. I've seen situations where the patient is complaining of pain on their lower right side but I see a cavity on the upper right hand side of their mouth.

Go back to the dentist, have an x-ray taken and have the dentist check your occlusion of the crown with his or her marking paper.

Although you have had a root canal the apical of the tooth which is the very tip of the root is still connected to nerve endings and can become inflamed or sensitive due to infection. In some cases that nerve is removed surgically and the tooth is sealed off after making sure infection has been treated. see you dentist for an xray and possibly antibiotics.
