How much Blood is too much ?!

Question: I had my tooth Surgically Extracted 3/18 , an I still hurt pretty bad , When I went to sleep last night , I had a little pink bubble in the space where the tooth used to be , But when I woke up this morning , There was blood on my pillow , an now my ear hurts. I called the Surgeon , an he told me to just keep taking advil , I have taken a ton of advil the past week , an it's not helping. Why would my mouth bleed like that ? Would it be best just to call my Normal Dentist ? Could he help me atleast ?

If for some reason the blood clot came out of the tooth your denist will only repack it and charge you for the visit.Take a small piece of the gauze your denist sent home with you and fold it into a small square, push it into the spot where the tooth was and bite down, this will stop any new bleeding and keep the air from hitting the tooth and hurting. It's been 2 weeks since the extraction and it should be healing by now.Are you rinsing gently 2-3 times a day with warm salt water?(2 teaspoons in 1/2 cup warm water)This will help keep it clean and heal faster. If you need to you may have to start sleeping with the gauze in place , it seems as if you may be grinding your teeth or sucking on the extraction spot in your sleep.

yes it would be best to call your normal dentist.make sure too have a wash rag on your pillow every night.
