How do I research Dentist credentials, specifically the school they graduated from?
I'm new to my area and I'm looking for a good dentist and I'm looking for dentists that went to good schools
Answers:
Merely knowing the school someone went to is not a mark of a good dentist. I feel very good about my old school (U.Penn), but I know some guys who barely made it out of the place who I would not trust with a dog's dental needs. I know some (one being one of the best dentists in my town) who went to the "state school" who are excellent.
Ask 10-20 people at work, in your neighborhood, church or other places where you might meet people, who their dentist is and why they go there. After a while, you will realize that you are hearing at least one name over and over again. This is the office where you should go.
