Question:
What can you tell when the gum above a tooth is red? It's a gum or tooth problem?
I can't locate what's the problem when I noticed the gum on my upper pre-molar is red. I think it may be in between the teeth, that's why I can't see it. At times, when I brushed that tooth at certain angle, I can feel a little pain or blood stain on the tooth brush. What's problem?? Is it the tooth that is having problem or the gum?? Shall I continue brushing that area?? Will appreciate if anyone who know or has this similar experience, please kindly advise.
(P/s. Recently, I have been seeing 3 dentists for cleaning and consultation, etc, and they all had checked my teeth, but none of them had brought up this to me or had noticed it).
Answers:
Sounds like gingivitis. That can be treated by proper brushing and flossing and rinsing. No worries. If your dentists werent concerned,it should be ok. Good luck.
