Geographic Tongue?
Im not sure i really have it....
It looks like i do.
But could i possibly have some kind of temporary mouth infection? Because i had something that looked like this about 4 months ago and it only came back just now. And i havent been keeping up on my brushing. Could this just be some kind of bacterial build up or something?

I have geographic tongue and it comes and goes. I never had it until 10 yrs. ago when I was pregnant with my first child. Don't know if that had anything to do with it, but that's when I first noticed it. lol
Like I said, mine comes and goes. I brush daily and gargle with Listerine, too. Doesn't seem to help...And the Listerine burns my tongue when I'm having an 'outbreak'. I have noticed, though, that when I cut out fat and/or breads in my diet, I don't get it very often. But, when I eat McDonald's sandwiches or french fries, I get a case almost immediately. Must be something in their food....
My dr. and dentist told me that I could gargle with peroxide, although I don't see much of a result in speeding it up on its way out the door. Nothing I've found so far works except cutting out the fats and breads. And who wants to do that ALL of the time?! lol
