I am pretty sure medicare doesnt cover dental. Maybe you can try and see if she qualifies for Medicaid but then she will have to get dentures. That is the only thing they cover over the age of 21. Stupid I know!

I know a benefit company that she can use that accepts patients with medicare and it is only $19.95 per month for a whole household! It also has the vision and prescription, chiropractic FREE! This is not insurance but it is a supplement to insurance and all you have to do is go to www.mybenefitsplus.com/livefree and go to provider search and see if there is a dentist in your area that accepts the plan. I use the plan myself and it is wonderful! There is also a fee schedule on the provider search , so depending on what work needs to be done , you can get pretty close to what you might have to pay. There are a lot of medicare patients that are on this plan. I hope this helps. You can also contact them with questions harveyntracy@ameriplan.net.

Call around.
my local health Department is doing my teeth on a sliding scale fee.
Just had a tooth pulled this morning an hour ago.. Cost me 3 bucks.
Dental Clinics North is the name of the one in Michigan, if that helps.

You should do what I did. Get a Cheap Dental Plan, not insurance.

It offers HIGH SAVINGS ON DENTAL WORK.

For Example, instead of paying $50 for teeth cleaning, with the plan, it will be $17. Its really cheap, $6.95/month. You can cancel anytime.

THIS is NOT a scam. I researched them before I joined. CareINGTON is under the Better BusinessBureau.

I'm sooo happy I found out about them. I saved about $1000 on my two root canals I needed. Check them out.

Call your local dental society. If you don't know where the dental society is, contact the American Dental Association. The dental society will give you the names of dentists and dental schools that provide services for free, low cost or sliding scale.
