I just lost a tooth...?!

Question: I just lost a tooth, and I can't get it to stop bleeding! It was my baby molar, and it only got loose this afternoon, so I think I may have surprised it a little. Anyway, I've tried a salt water rinse and I'm holding a towel to it now... Any suggestions?

Get a tea bag and soak it in some cool water so it's nice and moist. Gently squeeze the extra water out and place the tea bag over the spot where the tooth came out. Gently bite down on it with just enough pressure to hold the tea bag in place for about 20 minutes. The gentle pressure and the tannins in the tea that will help stop the bleeding. Teeth look like they bleed a lot because the little bit of blood mixes with your saliva and it makes it look like lots of blood. If this doesn't work, you better check with one of your parents to see if you need to see a dentist.

It should stop on its own. Never had problems with not clotting before right? Don't mess with it in the mean time, you'll probably just make it take longer.
