Braces pain?!
Question:
Braces pain?
I have had my braces on for a year now. They have been okay up until but now they are digging into the inside of my mouth and causing my gums to become very sore and causes trouble for me to chew. Is this normal? Can something be used to ease the pain?
Answers:
Rinse your mouth with warm saltwater or warm water with some hydrogen peroxide (don't swallow, just swish). Take some asprin. Are you using wax to cover the sharp edges? If it becomes unbearable, go to the orthodontist and have them adjust you until you're finally comfortable. A wire or bracket could have shifted. You're paying for the braces, make sure you're comfortable with them.
