What is the pain difference between invisalign and regular braces?!

Question: Hey, I was wondering what the pain difference is on a scale of 1 and 10 with invisalign and regular braces because I might get them soon. Does anyone know?

I'm doing Invisalign now and I've been told I have a high pain threshold. You change those aligners every 2 weeks and that day you change the aligner, your teeth feel tight and a little sore up in the gums. But, nothing that bad. From what I've read, it seems like regular braces hurt a lot more when those are tightened. I've read stuff on answers about people needing Ibuprofen, only being able to eat jello and soup for a while, etc. So, it seems like Invisalign is less painful. I'd give it a 2.

regular hurt alot of the time and invisalign really doesnt hurt b/c its a plastic tray in your mouth

braces hurt more because they are stronger unlike invisalign. with invisalign they give you a kit of all the invisalign braces. each one is worn for two weeks then change to the next step of braces they give you. invisalign huts less because it slowly moves your teeth so it wont hurt as much, but this process will take longer than regular braces.

i say they both have their share of pain. regular braces hurt when first tightened every month, and slowly stops hurting as the month progresses. mayeb only be painful the first week or two of tightening.

invisalign, even tho its just a plastic tray, hurts as well. its adjusted every month and its slightly a different fit from what your teeth actually are so it can move your teeth straighter. kinda like putting on a shoe a size too small, and gradually your teeth adjust and move in place. very tight fitting.

they are both equally painful. i have tried both.
